Information about the system and use
Is proCalmXR available for purchase?
Yes. proCalmXR is available for purchase and implementation in clinics and hospitals, with ongoing technological development. You can contact us to arrange a product presentation and learn about content, extensions and team support.
Do patients need to hold controllers during use?
You can choose gaze targeting through head direction and dwelling on a target, hand gestures or controllers, depending on the content and system configuration. Use without controllers allows the patient's hands to remain free when needed. Gaze targeting in this configuration is not eye tracking.
Which ages is use suitable for?
Content audiences are grouped into early primary years (5–8), children (8–12), adolescents (12–18), young adults (18–30), adults (30–60) and older adults (60+). These groups do not constitute approval to wear every type of equipment at every age. Suitability depends on the equipment model, manufacturer's instructions and user. For the Meta Quest models shown on the site, use is subject to the manufacturer's minimum age of 10 and over, and relevant guidelines. The headset can be demonstrated for explanation without being worn; actual trial use takes place only after suitability has been checked.
Does the experience replace medical treatment?
No. The experience is intended for supplementary use for distraction and stress reduction, alongside contact with the team and the care provided by the facility. It does not replace pain treatment or medical judgment; the clinical efficacy of proCalmXR has not yet been demonstrated.
What content and languages can be included?
Content and language options depend on the product configuration. During an introductory conversation, we will present the options relevant to your patient population and the directions being developed in the content library.
Can the patient's heart rate also be displayed?
Yes. As an optional extension, a compatible heart rate watch or sensor can be integrated into a dedicated interface we developed for clinical teams, depending on technical compatibility and system configuration. Heart rate extension information
